UC College Establishes the Alumni
Development Office
Our new principal, Manager, and the Governing
Body of the College are very much interested in strengthening the Alumni
and International Linkages. One sign of it is the start of the Alumni
Development Office (ADO). This office started functioning in the
Founder’s Memorial Auditorium on 27 th July 05.
The office started functioning with a seed
money offered by Dr. KC Chacko, an alumnus of the college now residing
in Denver, USA.
The proposal for the UCC International
Office has been accepted by the Governing Body. GB has resolved to
authorize the principal for undertaking this project. The project is
expected to be completed within three years.
As part of this effort, steps will be
taken to publish an alumni directory within two years.
The college encourages all alumni to
contribute to the ADO. US alumni who would like to offer funds for ADO
or similar projects (with US Tax Concession) can send the money through
the United Board New York.

student of Psychology at the college now residing at
Princeton, New Jersey.
Here is an Excerpt From Pravin About
the Event:
"We had a small get together
in my house for around 12 adults and 10 children
in honor of Dr. Leelamma. We had around 5-6
psychology grads. The others were from other
departments or were spouses and children.
The evening was begun with a word of
prayer
led by by Fr. Jose AinikkalI (one year my junior)
at the Psych department.
I think everyone enjoyed the company
as well as the lamb biriyani, raita, veg curry,
papads, alu paratha etc. GV and his wife
brought along a Christmas Cake (made by
GV's wife).
We also made several new friends in
the
area which bodes well for future alumni activity.
We also looked at recent pictures
taken at UCC
and shared stories about our time at UCC as
well as our adventures since.
Special thanks to Dr. Leelamma for
coming
and being such a gracious and affectionate guest
among us.
Dr.
Leelamma's Letter
Dear friends,
I am really thankful to you for
providing information about my US
visit, in the college website and yahoo group. It was a higher
learning experience to me. I met many old students in US and
experienced the love, concern and warmth of UC students to their
teachers. Especially I am grateful to Dr. Jacob Mathew, coordinator
of website for providing information of every step of my voyage.
I was in Austin College, Texas for my research programme. From
Austin college I went to California for meeting old students. Disney
land and Hollywood created a euphoric feeling in me. New York
exploration with old students was an unforgettable experience.
Thanks to Pravin, Ramesh, Thomas Mathew sir, Jacob Mathew sir,
Chacko sir and others for providing all support.
Best regards
Dr. K. E. Leelamma
